Cop-out posting

I have no pictures for you. Sorry. I hate writing a post without pictures, but I have hassled by several people (Reese, Zarah, Olgita) to update, so here it is.

Knitting news: GG (gatsby girl) is finished. I need to sew the buttons on and do a wonderful photoshoot for you and will post pics. Maybe this weekend? I hope this weekend.

SAP4 was looking like a 5 year old chimpanzee in need of glasses that just learned to knit was knitting it, so it has been frogged, and now I am working on SAP4v2 (version 2) and it is turning out very pretty, thank you very much.

Quick SAP4v2 story: The object (since I am not giving any clues until Ava is born) is pink and white, and I was showing off to Tony, and he says "i like it, but would not like it for my kid", and I said "well, why?", "cause it's pink" he said. So I said, "this is for a girl, what colors would you have your little girl wear?". Sit down people, you are going to loooveee his answer: "light blue". Thank god we are not having kids yet. (hi tony)

I am also working on my second attempt at a bolero jacket. I am not following any patterns this time. Olgita has (tried) taught me how to figure out a pattern and creat it by myself, so I am giving it a shot. Stay tunes for cries of desperation and anxiousness. Thanks Olgita for helping me on this, I am so happy you moved close by!

Marathon News: It's this Sunday. I don't want to do it anymore. End of update.

Reading News: I thought I would start telling you guys what I am reading. I have been tempted by other blogs, (Macoco made me read The Sociopath Next Door) and I thought I may tempt someone else. I read at night before I go to bed, and while I need, and sometimes while I knit in bed before I go to sleep. (yes, it's an obsession, I know). Currently I am reading Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain. I never posted about this, but a fellow knitter/blogger/friend sent this to me when I remarked how much I love this man. Thanks nessagr!

My dad got me hooked watching "No Reservations" while ago. (yay - new episodes in January!) Tony Bourdain is fearless in his culinary adventures, he is honest, arrogant, comical, and I just love watching that show. The book is the same way. Completely honest, (don't eat fish on Mondays people - just don't do it), and funny and biographical at the same time.

I am also reading 157 magazines that are all over my house/office/car. But that is another story. Cross your fingers for some GG pics this weekend. Oh, and for me to not break something doing the marathon.

I still have to finish Sociopath Next Door. I like what I've read so far.

Good luck with that marathon!!!!! I'll be thinking of you on Sunday. I hope it goes well and that you don't hurt yourself or poop your pants. Doesn't crazy stuff like that happen when people run marathons? Or have I just watched too much South Park?

OMG, Anthony Bourdain rules!!! The best episode of No Reservations is the one when he goes to Quebec, Canada. I was expecting snooty French food, and he ends up eating RAW SEAL on the kitchen floor of an Inuit family home. Of course, they offered him the "best part", which was the eyeball!!

I insist on a photoshoot this weekend! I can't wait to see GG.

What's wrong with light blue for a girl? I'm not anti-pink, but I also think not using blue for girls deprives them of one of the rainbow's nicest colors!

It was great to get an update, but-so much suspense! How did the marathon go? Are you still in one piece? How does Gatsby Girl look in her FO glory? What are all these adorable secret projects and when will Ava (LOVE that name) hurry up and be born so we can see them! :) I know, I know, I must be patient and wait for another update- but make sure it's sooner than the last- your public is waiting :)
