SP7 ... I am sorry...

My SP7 sent me her third package and it has been over a week, and although I sent her a thank you email - I never posted a thank you. Why you ask? Well, I have been trying to rack my brain for an excuse but I do not have one. Just lazy...

The package as always was adorable, with Keropi stickers on the front and back of it!

Inside, there were a lot of goodies:

A nice hand written letter

  • A book of patterns
    Vanilla lip balm - YUM
A mix CD of international music for my runs (9 miles this saturday - woo hoo)
Soaking bath salts for my tired feet after a long run
A project bag to keep either projects or my ever expanding yarn stash (not pictured)

    Thanks again SP7!!

Ta daaaa!

Here it is ladies (and gentlemen?) my very first non-scarf, non-hat project! Isn't it cute?

It took me what seems like forever to finish it due to the frogging and the anxiety and the need to be a complete perfectionist, but man-o-man am I proud!

It is a very pretty green color, that I think will look lovely with pink for the lucky little girl that is getting it. I actually wanted to get some green and pink buttons, but could not find any cute or small enough for it.

This was the first time I ever picked up stitches, made button holes or sewed anything together, so I learned a lot from this little project that took me forever to accomplish.

During the weekend I also made a little hat for my friend's bebe Eli. I thought I was going to get a chance to see him today, but have not been able to get a hold of her. I will post pics later, but it was my very own creation with a star and a pompom, and again - head swelling with pride!

The bolero jacket is on hold because the person I ordered from on ebay has not sent it to me yet, or she has and she is not answering her emails, which is quite rude!

I hope to get it when I come home today, since we are going to visit Tony's sis in NY and I really wanted to show it off to her! I did as much as I could do with the little yarn that I had, it is killing me to see it laying there!

Quick Note on Comments

I -heart - getting comments on my blog! It makes my day when people read my crazy antics. However, could you please leave your names and emails so I can thank you?

If you click on "other" you can use your name/nickname - or you can create a blogger account. It's fast and easy!

Thanks again guys!

Ribbit!

First - good news:

My SP7 sent me the cutest Valentine's Day cards!

Thanks SP! They are so so cute, I don't want to give them away. Your note cards are also always very cute!

Also in the mail yesterday:

Cute cute patterns in there for the summer... and don't you just love international mail?

The bad news: I ran out of Cashmerino Chunky for my bolero jacket. It was a bit of a blessing in disguise though, since I was rushing through the neck band, and it was looking a bit messy. I frogged it, and it is looking much cleaner now! It will all nice and neat by the time the additional yarn arrives.

Reese: this is what the bolero jacket looks like:

Week in review

That is me, last Saturday, on my way to WORK. You heard - WORK - on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon when I could have been out running and then in knitting.

This is me - at work - where I spent most of my days, and a huge part of my nights this week because of a silly accounting system conversion. (That picture is an accurate representation of my mood the entire week).

And this is my knitting. Waiting patiently for me a home. My bolero jacket sleeves.. And the finished baby sweater waiting for some blocking and some buttons.

I must say that I am very proud of my first sweater (shirt)! Being that it is the first garment that I have made - ever - I think it turned out pretty darn cute! Once it is nice and blocked I will take some close up shots.

I am working on the front/neck of the bolero jacket this weekend, and I think I will finish it in time to wear it to girl's night next week at Reese's.

Speaking of Reese and Michi - please leave comments! It is nice to know someone besides me gets a kick out of this blog.
